Our Goris Asri Office

Our second office in Pejarakan, and the meeting point for most snorkeling and diving trips.

Explore the underwater beauty of Menjangan Island

Menjangan sits inside a protected marine reserve, and it shows in the water. Visibility runs to thirty metres, the currents stay gentle, and the reef walls drop away into coral gardens that have never been trawled or bleached out.

You will see turtles on most trips, along with tropical fish in numbers and sea stars across the shallows. Eleven dive sites ring the island, from sandy slopes shallow enough for a first try to walls and drift dives for certified divers.

Discover Menjangan snorkeling trips in Bali

Whether you have dived for years or have never put your face in the water, Menjangan works. The shallow sites are calm enough for complete beginners, and there is a guide in the water beside you the whole time rather than waiting on the boat.

Trips leave daily from Banyuwedang Harbour, about ten minutes from this office. Gear, guide, park entrance and lunch are included, and we keep groups small so nobody is left trailing behind.

Frequently asked questions

Is Menjangan suitable for beginners?

Yes. The water is calm, visibility is good, and the shallow sites sit at three to five metres. A guide stays in the water with you throughout, so you do not need to be a strong swimmer or have snorkelled before. Experienced divers are well served too — the same trip reaches walls and drift sites.

What marine life will I see?

Coral gardens, tropical fish in large schools, sea stars, and turtles on most trips. Deeper on the walls there are barrel sponges, gorgonian fans and the occasional reef shark. The reserve status is why there is so much of it — this reef has been protected for decades.

Where is the meeting point?

Here, at Jl. Anggur in Banjar Dinas Goris Asri, Pejarakan. From here it is about ten minutes down to Banyuwedang Harbour, and we drive you. If you are staying in Pemuteran or Banyuwedang we can collect you from your hotel instead.

Why book with us rather than from the south?

We are based here, twenty minutes from the boat rather than four hours. Our guides grew up on this coast and dive it year-round, so they know which site will be best on the day. Groups stay small, and everything is included in the price you are quoted.
