Menjangan Island sits inside West Bali National Park, and the protection shows: eleven dive sites ring the island, the currents stay gentle and visibility reaches 30 metres. Island trips leave Banyuwedang Harbour and take about 30 minutes by boat, with hotel pick-up, guide, full gear and lunch included. Closer to shore, the reefs off Pemuteran are diveable year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I snorkel at Menjangan if I am a beginner?
Yes. The water inside the reserve is calm and the shallow sites sit at three to five metres, so you do not need to be a strong swimmer. A guide is in the water with you the whole time, not waiting on the boat, and life jackets are there if you want one. If you have never dived, Try Scuba Diving takes you down with an instructor beside you and needs no certificate.
What time do trips leave, and how long do they take?
The share boat leaves Banyuwedang Harbour at 9 AM and the trip runs about four hours, including roughly thirty minutes on the water each way and two stops at the island. Hotel pick-up is arranged around that. Dive courses run longer — three days for Open Water, two for Advanced.
What is included in the price?
Hotel pick-up and drop-off in the Pemuteran and Banyuwedang area, the boat, a licensed guide in the water, all snorkeling or diving gear, national park entrance, and lunch. The park fee is IDR 200,000 per person and is already in the price on island trips. Snorkeling Blue Lagoon sits outside the park boundary, so no entrance fee applies there at all.
When is the visibility best?
Visibility around Menjangan runs between fifteen and thirty metres and is good for most of the year, which is unusual for Bali. Currents stay gentle because the island sits inside a protected reserve. If conditions are wrong on your day we will tell you straight and move the trip rather than take you out into poor water.
